dacadoo diary – Week Three

The past week I’ve been on holiday so naturally I’ve not made the best choices in terms of my nutrition. However, I have been getting plenty of rest, which will hopefully improve my healthscore in terms of stress and sleep.
I’ve noticed that since I started using the dacadoo health platform it’s made me think more consciously about what I’m eating and whether that is the best decision I can make. I think a lot of people, including me, think of a holiday as a chance to take a break away from healthy eating as well as the office. However, now I regularly use dacadoo (on a daily basis now) I am more aware of making better choices.
This doesn’t always mean I have the salad, and I haven’t many times while I have been away, but I’m more conscious of making the best decision I can in situations. Although I have had the odd pudding, I don’t feel like I need it anymore to finish off a meal and I have been drinking as much water, if not more, than I usually do.
I haven’t been able (or willing) to use the dacadoo health platform every day when I’ve been on holiday, so I’ve been taking advantage of the way you can easily and quickly backdate your workouts or answer your nutrition questions without messing up your healthscore.
Although I haven’t been doing the same gym sessions that I normally do, I’ve been walking plenty and taking part in yoga sessions that are run every morning in the hotel. The first morning I decided to do it, I was a bit apprehensive but it was only half an hour out of my whole day and then I’m free to spend the rest laying around the pool without feeling guilty. So I got up and did it and felt much better for it. I was more awake and actually enjoyed the rest of the day more as I wasn’t feeling sluggish.
Over the next week, I’ve got my friend’s wedding so it will be back into full health kick and trying to get back on track to look my best for her big day.
